SMW Training Program

SMW's approach to trading, refined through years of experience, is the basis for our structured training program which consists of instructional videotapes, a trading handbook, small group instruction and simulated trading sessions to provide practice.

These simulated trading sessions are designed to give the new trader an opportunity to trade and receive important instruction before actually trading. An example of our sequential approach was recently described in the first chapter in the book, Trading Chicago Style. At the conclusion of the chapter the following comment was made by a successful trader:

SMW "… does a great job with capturing the essence of learning to be a successful trader. Having read this interview, I wish I had known about this program."

The importance of our training program has also been noted by our computer traders. They stated that the discipline they learned in our simulated classes has helped them today as they trade electronically.

Our training program is run by Dr. Sidney E. Kaz, a former educator, the partners of the firm, Marvin H. Wenger, Marc Seruya and Jonathan Markowitz with a total of over 75 years of trading experience. The program uses a sequential approach to teach you the skills necessary to be a successful trader, either on the trading floor via computer.
